The plague of food processed food
I describe dead foods as those that have been processed beyond recognition.
Dead foods have had the life sucked out of them and man made chemicals added to extend their shelf life. I like to call them Franken-foods. Your first rule of thumb is this limit your intake of dead food, processed food (white bread, instant white rice, crackers, chips, and so forth).It enriches the food company’s bottom line but usually constipates your body. If processing food made it heathier, i would be its biggest advocate, but processed food are without exception higher in toxic fats, depleted flours, sugar, salt, and food additives.
The man made process that produces this Franken-food strips away valuable vitamins, mineral, fibers, enzymes, phytonutrients. Most processed foods have a high glycemic index and raise your blood sugar, causing weight gain and setting the stage for most degenerative diseases . Most contain little to no nutrition and actually put a strain on your digestive enzymes.
To make matters worse, food companies make these processed food as addictive as possible so you will keep coming back for more. They hire the smartest chemist to create. foods that looks, taste, feel, sound, and smell irresistible.
